Reggae Singer Timmi Burrell Getting Attention With “Why DID You Leave Me”
Timmi Burrell is focused and ready to take his place in the main stream of the Jamaican music industry. The Negril based singer has been doing his thing in the music biz for a while now and has made some inroads with singles such as Children Crying, It’s My Time Now, Take You On A Journey and Man Of My Word. He has also made memorable appearances on events such as Teen Splash, Western Consciousness, the Bob Marley Birthday Bash in Negril and the Reggae Marathon Victory Party. He recently delivered a very good performance at the Negril One Love Reggae Concert winter series, show which was headlined by Sanchez on Tuesday November 24th.
Timmi’s career has been on an upward path since lately, in recent times he has been enjoying much attention from radio stations both locally and abroad with his latest single titled Why Did You Leave Me. With the backing and support of his record label, Westside Konnection Records he recently dropped a music video in for Why Did You Leave.
A spokes person from Westside Konnection Records says that the decision to make a video for Why Did You Leave Me, was a very easy one as the song is a very good song and has the potential to be a very big hit for Timmi Burrell. Therefore all concerned parties did what was necessary to make the video a reality and the label and his management team is very happy with the results so far. The video which was directed by top flight music video director Asha McHail, has been receiving good rotation on television stations island-wide such as RETV, HYPE TV, NTV and CVM Plus.
In recent times Timmi Burrell has also gotten involved in the production side of the music business. The first project he has worked on is Why Did You Leave which was co-produced with Jermaine “Tmar” Millington. Timmi Burrell is also working on a rhythm project that will feature songs from his West Side Konnnection colleagues Rexxx, Trendy, Nique and Salanyde along with other artists. This project will be released early next year.
Timmi Burrell is also booked to perform on several shows this month including Teens Splash, Culture In The City (the Bonner Brothers In Concert and the Opening Of John Wayne’s HQ.
