(Kingston, Jamaica) – Vivacious singer Raine Seville gears up to lend a helping hand with two events organized by the ‘One Touch Charity’ foundation this week.

As Christmas draws closer, singer Raine Seville is anticipating her involvement in the two events scheduled by the charity for this Saturday. The One Touch Charity was officially formed in April of this year through the efforts of Raine and her best friend Sophronia McKenzie, the Charity’s acting President, and aims to touch the lives of children in four essential ways: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Raine explained, “Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children, teenagers, and young adults in Jamaica. We plan to do this by tackling the cause of poverty and injustice by providing them with the essentials needed to obtain an education; maintain a healthy life style; and enhance the realization of their full potential.”

Having held two events for the year, the ‘Touch a Life – Developing Self-Confidence’ at the Wortley Children’s Home and ‘Back to School Day’ at the Maxfield Park Children’s Home, where the celebrities spoke to the children, performed, played games and gave donations, Raine is ready for the next two events. This Saturday, December 19th, One Touch Charity will host the ‘Just a Touch’ Drive at the Maxfield Park Children’s Home and ‘Santa’s Wish List’ at the Church of God’s Girls Home.

‘Just a Touch’ is more of a donation which would include food and clothes and ‘Santa’s Wish List’ will be a concert from 1pm to 5pm and alongside herself persons such as I-Shawna, Bugle, D’Angel, Craig Jackson from Voicemail, Fame FM’s DJ Nicco, selectors Buncoline and Chromatic, footballer Luton Shelton, Miss Jamaica Tourism 2009 Rebecca Silvera, dancer Mystic, DJ Nas, ZJ Chrome, Candy from ZIP FM and others have all logged on to assist with the upcoming events. Coca Cola, Lascelles, Anyweh.com, Road Block Films, Sign Channel, Street Magazine, PartyHaad.com, Expoze Entertainment (Rum Punch),Chromatic and St Andrew Rotaract Club are the current sponsors for these two events.

Besides her charity work DASECA’s first lady has been blazing on the airwaves and in the local media becoming a media darling. A fixture in the streets and at popular events promoting her music, Raine has also been busy on the Digicel Road Show alongside D’ Angel, Rising stars, Moments and Adena Myrie; Nationwide’s Road show, and also took part in the NBL All-Star Celebrity Match over the weekend and has been lending a helping hand to the organizers of the upcoming Youth View Awards.

For January Raine has a number of songs that will be hitting the airwaves, including: Swag for Leftside, Touch Me with Serani on the ‘Dare Devil’ rhythm and Reserve alongside Bugle, with a video to be shot soon by Jay Will. Another video will also be coming soon for Swag and Break Away. For early next year the young singer will be raising the temperature on her career with a surprising collaboration with a popping male artiste that is guaranteed to raise some eyebrows and get fans rocking to their beat.
