Wasp Scores Third No.1 With ‘Cry Fi Dem’

Cassia Park deejay Wasp after being nominated for two EME awards in the categories of ‘Best New Artiste’ and ‘Most Improved Artiste’ continues to reap success with the dawning of 2010.
Last week the singjay scored his third number hit for on local soil with ‘Cry Fi Dem’ a very emotional composition which speaks to the perils of the less fortunate. The single after debuting in November 2009 shot to the top of the CVM-Television Hitlist video chart making this his first bonafide hit for 2010.
This comes on the heels of his 2006 hit ‘Wasp A Buss Di Place’ and his first international No.1 ‘Unfair Officer’ on Canadian soil last year.
The deejay whose real name is Marvin Clarke will this week release the video for his new single ‘Skip Dem Out’ on the Style and Swagga Rhythm Medley also featuring Adrenaline, Beenie Man, Terro 3000, Tifa, RDX and Voicemail, the project was directed by Gareth Cobran of ID Studios.
In the coming weeks Wasp is slated to release three new singles for the ladies that is sure to turn the temperature up a few notches on the airwaves.
