Boom Steppa Scores First No.1 With ‘Naaw Stay Poor’

Kingston Jamaica: Since emerging on the scene in 2008 with his single on the Gangsta Beat Medley, dancehall recording artiste Fabian Wilson more popularly known as Boom Steppa has been working assiduously to carve out his own niche in the local music industry.
The Spanish Town native now riding high with his latest effort titled ‘Naaw Stay Poor’ has finally scored his first official No.1, clinching the top spot on the RETV MVP Charts following its debut three weeks earlier.
“Its a great feeling to see my work being accepted and endorsed by the masses, so much that it has reached No.1. I consider this the start of a great journey” – Boom Steppa explained.
The single written and produced by Wilson, tell a riveting tale of the everyday perils face by the less fortunate in our society and one man’s determination to break that cycle of poverty.
Aside from scoring its first No.1, the song is also in the Top 5 of the CVM Television Hitlist Countdown and is doing very well across the Caribbean diaspora with heavy rotation on a number of noted radio and television stations throughout the region.
The video shot throughout the thoroughfares of Kingston and St. Catherine was directed by Wayne Benjamin of Fabrikated ProjeX.
Boom Steppa his currently in the studio working on his follow-up single, set for release in the coming weeks.
