Darkcide International Releases ‘State Of Emergency – Chronicles of West Kingston’

Kingston Jamaica: Following the recent upsurge in violence across the Jamaican Diaspora and the coordinated strikes on West Kingston by the security forces, resulting in massive loss of lives and Jamaica battling to repair its international image/reputation.

Darkcide International newest sensation DJ Calico while reflecting on the atrocities endured by the innocent within these communities has created a reggae compilation entitled “STATE OF EMERGENCY – The Chronicles Of West Kingston” as a tribute to the many that fell victim to this horrible chapter in our history.

‘State Of Emergency – The Chronicles Of West Kingston’ – a fifty nine (59) track compilation approved for the entire family, sees Dj Calico serving up a unique blend of the latest offerings in Reggae interspersed with some dubplates and actual audio footage of the events. The project features music from talented young acts; Chedda, Taz, Boom Steppa, Chino, Laden and heavyweights such as; Aidonia, I-Octane, Konshens, Bugle, Morgan Heritage, Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Demarco among others.

The compilation is available free of cost online at Facebook and has already racked up over five hundred (500) downloads in a matter of hours since its official release.

According to Dj Calico “We hope this latest offering will help to bring some musical solace to a grieving nation as we extend our condolences to those who have lost family, friends and even those who are just experiencing hardship due to the disruption in their communities or place of work.”

On the local scene, fans can catch team Darkcide comprising of Dj Wah Wa, Dj Calico, Acid, Dj Cide and Shadow at the highly anticipated events, Le Femme – Ladies Enjoy on June 19th and Equilibrium – Day Rave this Sunday, June 20th
