Grito Mundial is our featured video today. It is the lead single on Daddy Yankee’s studio album Mundial.

Word is the song has been compared with Ricky Martin’s worldwide hit “La Copa de la Vida” which was used in the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Daddy Yankee said he would like the song to be used for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.  We have learnt that the Grito Mundial will be used.

I certainly would vote for it to be used based on the concept and choreography. I love the beat/riddim, it gives this carnival; festive atmosphere. Grito Mundial should do well in night clubs.

Fans and colleagues across the globe continuously express their support for Buju Banton during his period of incarceration on drug related charges. ANTHONY B is one of Buju’s many colleagues who have shown his love and support through his music.

Anthony B has released a new single calling for the authorities to free Buju Banton (The General), entitled “Free Up The General”, on Truckback Records Label.

Most of us suspect that Michael Jackson died before releasing some of his songs. Here is an unreleased song that I found at youtube.com called “Another Day” in collaboration with Lenny Kravitz.

After Michael’s death Kravitz revealed in an interview with Spinner that he had done a song with the King of Pop that hadn’t been released. Kravitz says it was, “the most amazing experience I’ve had in the studio.”

Some months ago Vybz Kartel and some of his fans said that this song was done by the Fyah Muma Queen Ifrica to diss him, but I listened the song and haven’t heard the artiste’s name mentioned even once. Well to each his own. What do you think, did the Queen diss the Emperor?

First Offence Riddim is a new riddim produced by “Ruff Kutt Krew” and comprises of some member of Jamaica’s No.1 backing band Ruff Kutt.

This Riddim features a mixture of young and veteran dancehall artistes such as Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, D’Angel and Versitile. Other artistes are being considered for the production.

First Offence Riddim is a groovy semi-up-tempo beat that have developed a bubbling rotation on the radio waves.
